Sunday 9th October 2022
In this Sunday School Nicci will explore fruits of the Holy Spirit, through:
- Lesson – Galatians 6:7-9 : tells us how the fruit of the Spirit develop in us
- Activity : Making a fruit salad
Lesson – Galatians 5:7-9
“A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
- As we yield to and sow love, for example, we will not only reap loving acts from others, but the powerful force of love will grow in us and make us better witnesses of Jesus. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and by yielding to His presence in us, we can lead fruitful, abundant lives!
- The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). When we practice the fruit of the Spirit, people will know that they can depend on you. Growing in this fruit brings rich blessings to you
Activity

After the lesson, we will enjoy our fruit salad and draw/decorate one of the cardboard fruits we will use to illustrate the “fruits of the spirit”. We will consider which fruit we can practice this week at home and in school and pray for Gods holy spirit to help us to do this.
